On December 31, 2019, 155 Hyundai branded second-hand cars were on board in an orderly manner at the "Leiden" ship docked at the No. 1 berth of Nansha Automobile Terminal and exported to the port of Djibouti, Africa. For the first time, Nansha Port area has realized the “Ro-Ro” export of used cars.

The batch of used car cargo came from Guangwu Group. At the forefront of the automobile terminal, Nansha Automobile Terminal and Guangwu Group held a short inaugural ceremony. Guangwu Group presented the banner of "open cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win" to Nansha Automobile Terminal.

The export of second-hand cars has received strong support from the Municipal Port Authority, Nansha District Government and port units. Port units such as Nansha Customs and Border Inspection attach great importance to this export operation, work overtime and release, and complete the customs clearance procedures to ensure that Achieve 24-hour customs clearance. Nansha Automobile Wharf organized a storage yard overnight to ensure that the vehicle gathering port and the ship safely arrived at the port, and completed the loading operation efficiently in only 2 hours.

It is understood that in April 2019, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued the "Notice on Supporting the Development of Used Car Export Business in Mature Areas", which clarified the relevant requirements and tasks for the export of used cars. Guangdong became One of the first 9 provinces and cities in the country to launch second-hand car export business. On July 26, 2019, 40 second-hand vehicles from Guangzhou Port Nansha Automobile Terminal were boarded in containers and sent to Dubai. The second-hand vehicles were exported for the first time.
